109 More Patients Cured And Discharged From Covid Care Centre, Hospitals And Home Isolation

In a significant achievement by district administration in its battle against novel coronavirus on Monday, a total of 109 Covid-19 patients were cured and discharged from different hospitals and some completed their home isolation period, the tally of those recovered in the district is now 1545. Today, 109 discharged patients include four from Civil Hospital, 26 from Covid Care Centre, 11 from Military Hospital, 38 from BSF Hospital and five from private hospital.Meanwhile, 25 patients completed their home isolation period today. These patients were in isolation at homes under the supervision of health teams and successfully completed their active home quarantine period today.Now the district has now 475 active cases and 39 persons succumbed to Covid.The recovered patients appreciated the hard work and sheer commitment of the doctors, nurses and health workers during the course of their treatment.They also hailed the state government led by the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh for ensuring sufficient arrangements for quality treatment to them.Deputy Commissioner Mr Ghanshyam Thori complimented the team of doctors for ensuring quality treatment to these patients through which they were able to recover. He said that the day was not far when Jalandhar would be free of this Covid 19.He called upon people to follow physical distancing, respiratory etiquettes, and meticulous hand hygiene and avoid touching face, eyes and nose.
