Chairman of the Punjab Agro Industries Corporation and former Punjab Minister Joginder Singh Mann today said that the Punjab government led by the Chief Captain Amarinder Singh would transform the destiny of the farmers by giving fillip to agro based industry.Chairing the 245th meeting of the Board of Directors here at the office of the Corporation, the Chairman, accompanied by Managing Director Mr. Manjit Singh Brar, said that as per the guidelines of the Chief Minister the corporation was working tirelessly to give boost to the agro industry in the state. He said that this was the need of the hour to ensure that farmers get remunerative prices of their goods thereby becoming active partners in the economic prosperity of the state. Mr. Mann said that the Corporation was duty-bound to transform the state to a Agro Industry Hub from Food growing one.The Chairman said that the Corporation would make every endeavour for giving push to agriculture diversification and food processing industry. He said that Corporation was the nodal agency for giving impetus to the agro industry sector in the state. Mr. Mann said that the hard working and resilient farmers’ of the state have led the country in Green, White and Blue revolutions and now it was the high time that their indomitable spirit of entrepreneurship to be channelized in agro industry for which Captain Amarinder government was making concerted efforts to achieve this goal.Pointing out further the Chairman said that there was a huge potential of Agro Industry in the state, which could be duly utilized for changing the fortunes of Punjabi farmers. He said that Corporation would make every effort to ensure that the dream of the Punjab Chief Minister to change the fortunes of the farmers was realised at the earliest. Mr. Mann also said that in consonance with state government’s ambitious plan, the Corporation would further strive hard to further promote agro-based industries across Punjab to  supplement the income of the farmers. On the occasion Managing Director of the Corporation Mr. Manjit Singh Brar, Directors Mr. Ranjeet Singh and Mr. Kiranjit Singh Mitha along with others were also present.
