In a major sigh of relief today, a total of 69 more patients including 18 from local civil hospital, 13 from Covid Care Centre in Government Meritorious School, 12 from Military Hospital, five from private hospitals were recovered and discharged besides 21 completed their home isolation period.Now, 1151 patients so far have been cured and discharged in Jalandhar besides the district has now 544 active cases and recorded 34 fatalities.Meanwhile, 21 patients completed their home isolation period today. These patients were in isolation at homes under the supervision of health teams and successfully completed their active home quarantine period today.After the discharged, they lauded the sheer commitment and devotion of the doctors, nurses and health workers during the course of their treatment.They said that doctors and nursing staff risked their lives as they used to come and check their health status during treatment.They also appreciated the state government led by the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh for ensuring sufficient arrangements for quality treatment to them.Deputy Commissioner Mr Ghanshyam Thori complimented the team of doctors for ensuring quality treatment to these patients through which they were able to recover. He said that the day was not far when Jalandhar would be free of this Covid 19.He said that as per experts, the wearing of mask can reduce the chances of infections to 75 percent and appealed the people to mandatory wear masks to supress the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
