Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmed on Tuesday reviewed the arrangements put in place ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.On the occasion, the DC issued strict directions to all the concerned officers to ensure that the COVID-19 related SOPs are strictly adhered to besides ensuring availability of essential commodities, availability of sacrificial animals and establishment of mandis for sale of sacrificial animals.The DC directed the officers of Legal Metrology, Revenue, Animal Husbandry and other concerned departments to conduct daily market checking in the district to ensure that the laws of legal metrology are adhered to besides keeping check on rates.He also directed the officers to take strict action against black marketers, hoarders and erring shopkeepers who refuse to follow COVID SOPs issued by the government from time to time.During the meeting DC Bandipora directed the engineers of PDD and Jal Shakti to ensure regular supply of electricity and water to the people during the Eid celebrations.The meeting was attended by ADC Bandipora Zahoor Ahmad Mir, SP Bandipora, Assistant Commissioner Revenue and SDM Sumbal besides other officers of line departments.
