On the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmed, different law enforcing agencies on Monday launched a massive drive against violators of COVID-19 SOPs.A joint team of officers led by Tehsildar Bandipora conducted inspection of Bandipora town and imposed fine on the pedestrians who were found without masks.The teams also inspected the shops to check whether the shopkeepers have undergone COVID-19 test besides attending mandatory training, a fine of Rs 5000 was realized from the erring pedestrians, customers and shopkeepers during the inspection.During the inspection the officers also appealed the people to follow the SOPs and other health related advisories for the safety of their own health and of others, they also warned people of strict action if they continued to violate SOPs.
