DC Kupwara Approves Minor Mining Block-3 to JKPCC

Mining Plan Approval Committee, which met here under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Anshul Garg, today approved the Mining Plan prepared by JKPCC for the Minor Block 3.The Mining Block 3 exists from Bakhihakher Bridge to Sultanpora Bridge upstream in Handwara of district Kupwara.The committee held threadbare discussion and found the plan technically correct and it was given out in the meeting that the plan was prepared by a Recognised Qualified Person (RQP).The Deputy Commissioner directed the Executive Engineer Irrigation & Flood Control Department and District Mineral Officer to work in tandem in the field and make sure that there should be no damage to the irrigation assets including bunds and irrigation canals while extracting minor minerals.The Deputy Commissioner asked Executive Engineer I&FC to take care of irrigation assets and use magisterial powers against those who violate the law.Among others Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone, Deputy Director (Member secretary, MPAC) G&M, DMO, Executive Engineers of R&B and I&FC attended the meeting.Meanwhile in another event State Bank of India, Kupwara branch today donated Personal Protection Equipment kits to District Administration Kupwara.The donated items include 10 Laminated PPE kits, 25 N-95 masks, 80 packets of triple layer masks, 15 packets of melt blown masks, 35 PPE kits, 75 sanitizers 500 ml, 4 sanitizers 5 ltr, 20 sanitizers, 1 ltr spray and 1 sanitizer dispensing stand.The Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Anshul Garg expressed gratitude on the kind gesture of the bank.
