Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab state president and MP Bhagwant Mann has said that the Aam Aadmi Party would give priority to the youth of the state to represent it in the 2022 Assembly elections.Addressing the media in Chandigarh on Monday, Bhagwant Mann said that despite being the youngest political entity in terms of age, the Aam Aadmi Party had emerged as the only hope of the country today. Replying to questions from media persons, Mann said, "There is no doubt that the Aam Aadmi Party has made mistakes in the past, because mistakes are made by only those who work for the people, but the Aam Aadmi Party has learned from its past experience and the mistakes it committed.".Mann alleged that other conventional political parties ruling the country for decades had been using the youth for their own interests and to grab power, but the Aam Aadmi Party had offered the youth a window of opportunities that the Akali-Congress leadership had ‘reserved’ for their own progeny. The young MLAs of Punjab and Delhi were fitting examples to prove the point. In a reply to a question by scribe, Bhagwant Mann said that almost all the leaders of the party, including Arvind Kejriwal and Munish Sisodia, belonged to non-political families, who had quit their plum positions and jobs to reshaping the future of the country. Mann said that many leaders, especially the young ones who had joined the Akali-Congress with the much hope, were gravely disappointed by their decisions.Bhagwant Mann called upon the enterprising youth of the country, especially Punjab, to join the Aam Aadmi Party to work on a common programme of restoring Punjab, once a state prosperity and plenitude, its pristine glory and grandeur.
