Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur directed the officers to give topmost priority for time bound fulfilment of budget assurances so that fruits of the schemes could be  percolated down to the targeted groups. Chief Minister was addressing the review meeting of budget assurances for the year 2020-21 here today.Chief Minister said  that the Swaran Jayanti Gyanodaya Cluster Sreshtha Vidyalaya Yojna was being launched and added that under this scheme 100 Schools of the State would be  improved by bringing them qualitative changes and also pupil teacher ratio would be ensured in the State. He said that Rs. 15 crore would be spent under this scheme.  He said that Bachelor of Vocational courses had been started in 12 colleges of the State and this year such courses would also be started in six more colleges of the  State.Jai Ram Thakur said that Medha Protshan Yojna launched by the State Government has proved a boon to the students as they were getting incentive of Rs. one  lakh for pursuing coaching for various exams such NEET, IIIT etc. He said that this year under Swaran Jayanti Super 100 scheme 100 toppers of class 10th would be  provided assistance of Rs. one lakh each for undergoing training to compete in various entrance examinations.Chief Minister said that efforts would be made to increase  enrollment of students in government schools particularly at pre primary and primary levels. He said that greater stress should be on qualitative improvement in education  so that students could get par excellence education nearer to their homes.

Jai Ram Thakur said that Krishi Utpaad Sarankshan Yojna have been launched in the State under which 50 percent subsidy was being provided to the farmers of the  State for erecting structure to support anti hail nets. He said that similarly Mehak Yojna has been launched in the State for promotion and cultivation of aromatic plants.  He said that this would help in strengthening the economy of the farmers in big way.Chief Minister said that Controlled Atmosphere stores were being upgraded under the  World Bank Aided Horticulture Development Project at Gumma, Jarol-Tikkar and Rohru which would facilitate the horticulturists and farmers of the State in getting  remunerative prices of their produces.Jai Ram Thakur said that under Jal Jeevan Mission, the government was ensuring that all the households get tapped water by the  year 2022. He said that State Government made appreciable progress under this Mission and the State Government has also received an incentive of Rs. 57 crore from  Union Government for effective implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in the State for the year 2019-20.Chief Minister said that Government was also endeavouring to  cover maximum area under irrigation so that farmers could be motivated to go for cultivation of off-seasons vegetables and cash crops. He said that this would not only  strengthen their economy but also motivate the youth to extend their helping hand in farming activities thereby checking movement towards urban areas.Chief Secretary  Anil Khachi, Principal Secretary Finance Prabodh Saxena, Secretary Education Rajeev Sharma, Secretary Horticulture Amitabh Awasthi, Special Secretary NCES  Hemraj Bairwa, Director Higher Education Dr. Amarjeet Sharma, Director Elementary Education Rohit Jamwal, Engineer-in-Chief Jal Shakti Vibhag Naveen Puri and  other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
