One-day sensitisation, training cum awareness programme on COVID-19 was conducted in Pahalgam to ensure Covid free business activities.The programme was aimed at to sensitize the business community and service providers regarding COVID-19 infection and make sure that standing operating procedures are adhered to in letter and spirit while giving services.The District Administration in collaboration with Department of Community Medicine (Social and Preventive Medicine) Government Medical College, Anantnag, conducted the programme to impart training to the service providers of restaurants, hotels and fast food outlets besides other essential service dealers like pony wallas, dandiwallas, tent shop owners etc.The District Magistrate, officers from district administration, Anantnag and faculty members from the Department of Community Medicine, GMC Anantnag created awareness and provided training to  the business community and service providers regarding usages of Masks, Sanitization, maintaining of social distance and other preventive measures to be followed at their places of work.Principal Government Medical College Anantnag, Prof. (Dr.) Shaukat Jeelani reiterated that every person should maintain social distancing, and follow other SOPs while running their business establishments especially while dealing with the cash.
