District Industries Centre Udhampur today organized an interactive session under Atam Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan involving the unit holders and financial institutions for helping units come over the financial crunch during the COVID crisis.General Manager, DIC, Suram Chand Sharma, elaborately highlighted the relief measures being initiated by the DIC to help contain spread of COVID-19 in the district. He expressed gratitude to all the industrial participants for their whole hearted contribution towards JK Relief fund saying that their contribution shall go a long way in fighting Covid-19 in the district.General Manager informed the participants that now Udyog Aadhar Memorandum terminology has been changed to Udhyam Aadhar (UA) and its registration is mandatory for all existing and new units. All the participants were facilitated on spot for registration on UA portal.He encouraged the entrepreneurs to get themselves registered on Govt e-Marketplace (GEM portal) as a seller as it is going to be the only future platform for buying and selling in government offices. An on spot demonstration was also given to the participants on GEM registration.Also, the Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan guidelines were circulated among the participants. Besides, Bankers threw light on new schemes launched by the government to tackle the issues caused by economic gloom due to COVID crisis.The GM also discussed in detail the new procedure for sponsoring cases under PMEGP directly to the banks and the mandate of DLTFC has been modified as monitoring body.During discussion on PMEGP, it was clarified that from now onwards the cases shall be forwarded directly to various banks by the sponsoring agency and the banks will disburse the cases. After sanctioning and EDP Training, the entrepreneurs will be given more awareness regarding availing extended loans and any other schemes existent at that point of time.
