District Development Commissioner, Nazim Zai Khan today convened a meeting to discuss the modalities for organizing fortnightly “Kissan-Pakhwada” which is going to start from July 7, 2020 and preparation of action plan on “Atam Nirbhar Bharat” in respect of Agriculture and allied sectors.The meeting was attended by CPO, Dr. Kasturi Lal; ACR, Drindher Sharma; SDM, Gool, Gias-Ul-Haq; CHO, CAO, Manager Lead Bank, DSHO, Bankers and officers of various departments. The DDC took stock of the preparedness made by Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal, Sheep Husbandry, Fishery and Sericulture departments for formation of action plan of “Atam Nirbhar Bharat”. He directed the CAO, who is also a member secretary of District Level Technical Committee (DLTC) to organize meeting of all designated members to intensify the efforts.He directed the officer to organize awareness programmes at block level to sensitize masses about pro farmers’ as well as welfare schemes being implemented by the different departments for their betterment. The DDC directed the bankers and officers of allied departments to ensure full coverage of farmers under KCC, PM-Kissan and other loan schemes during the “Kissan-pakhwada” in the district.On the issue of cent percent saturation of farmers in the various schemes under Agriculture, Dairy and Fisheries sectors, the DDC asked the departmental heads, field functionaries as well as the Bankers to reach out to farmers without any delay to ensure enrolment of eligible persons.
