The Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Ghanshyam Thori today said to combat the Covid 19 pandemic more effectively, the district would further upgrade the Health infrastructure at the local Civil Hospital by ensuring piped Oxygen Supply at all the 350 beds of the Hospital.Chairing a meeting here at his office in the District Administrative Complex, the Deputy Commissioner said that the move was aimed at meeting any sort of urgency, if needed, in the coming times. He said that 100% piped oxygen supply would be ensured at the Covid Care Centre set up the local Civil Hospital for which necessary arrangements would be made. Mr. Thori asked the local Sub Divisional Magistrate to visit the local Civil Hospital and make the necessary arrangements for completing the work.The Deputy Commissioner said that the situation was totally under control in the district and there was no need for the city residents to get. However, he said that the district administration was fully geared up to meet any sort of contingency. Mr. Thori said that in this combat against the hidden enemy the district administration would leave no stone unturned and every effort would be made to impart quality treatment to them.The Deputy Commissioner said that there was no dearth of resources and manpower with the state government to tackle this pandemic. He said that the major focus was only on saving the precious lives of people from this pandemic for which all of us have to join hands.
