District Development Commissioner, O.P.Bhagat, today inaugurated Refrigeration Van having capacity of 90 quintals at village Khokhyal to facilitate farmers for transportation of Fresh Vegetables from their field directly to the vegetable mandies.DDC highlighted the benefits of the Van and appealed the farming community to take maximum benefit of this facility to boost their economical status by doubling their income.DDC asked the farmers to grow vegetable crops to get maximum benefit of their produce as they can transport their vegetables to any of the mandies of their choice by proper usage of the AC Van. He said that the Van is highly beneficial for the transportation of perishable vegetables.Chief Agriculture Officer, Kathua, Arun Gupta, District Agriculture Officer (Ext.) Sanjeev Rai Gupta, Subject Matter Specialist Krishan Kant Gupta besides Sarpanchs, Panchs, prominent citizens and progressive farmers were present on the occasion.
