District Development Commissioner, Nazim Zai Khan, today convened a meeting of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) and reviewed the situation arising due to outbreak of COVID-19 in the district. ADC Ashok Sharma, ASP Sanjay Parihar, ACD Zamir Ahmed Rishu, SDMs, CMO, MS, DH Ramban, Executive Engineers PHE and PWD and various district officers attended the meeting.DDC reviewed the financial and physical status of material and equipment procurement besides other services being provided to the migrant labourers, students, quarantine inmates and patients in the wake of COVID-19. He also took stock of measures being taken up by different departments to create COVID care and quarantine facilities besides providing services to patients and inmates of quarantine centres.Detailed deliberation was held on management of private as well as government accommodation acquired for establishing COVID care centres, quarantine centres and accommodation facilities for the doctors and other medicos across the district.DDC directed the officers to submit Utilization Certificates besides ensuring judicious utilization of funds provided by the government under SDRF COVID-19. He said that keeping in view the long traveling history of truck and fuel tanker drivers’ administration is going to issue health cards to monitor their health record regarding COVID-19.DDC directed the Health department to ensure sampling of all service providers including vegetable, fruit and dairy products vendors besides frontline workers of different departments deputed on COVID related duties.DDC informed that sampling and testing capacity has been increased upto 200 tests per day in the district. He directed the officers to deal with the situation as per the recommended guidelines and SOPs.
