District Development Commissioner, O. P Bhagat, today visited proposed sites for National Drug Testing Lab and Government Homeopathy Medical College in the district.Commissioner FDA J&K, Shakeel-Ul-Rehman Rather, Registrar State Board of Homeopathy, Dr B.R Dubb, Controller Drugs, Lotika Khajuria, Revenue officials besides other concerned were present.Pertinently, the government has proposed establishment of a National Drug Testing Lab in Kathua for which three kanal land has been acquired in Rijju Chack.While interacting with officers, DDC asked the Revenue Officers to speed up the process of completion of all formalities related to their department regarding the project so that work on the proposed lab can be taken up at the earliest.The DDC also visited Dhalauti village where 65 kanal land  has been identified for proposed Homeopathy Medical College in the district.Later, DDC inspected various development works undertaken by PHE, PWD and Rural Development Department in block Barnoti. He asked the Engineers to ensure quality of works with timely completion.
