DDC Kulgam reviews progress of developmental works

District Development Commissioner, Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, today took stock of pace and progress of several developmental projects being executed by various agencies in the district.DDC visited Aadigen Damhal Bridge and took stock of present status of the project and the bridge is coming up at an estimated cost of Rs 10.61 crore by R&B department.The bridge will provide connectivity to Noorbad D.H.Pora with district headquarter by minimizing travel distance of more than 7 kilometers.The DDC directed the concerned to expedite the pace of work and complete the works within set time frame.Earlier DDC took stock of ongoing macadamization process at Nihama Rambhama where from macadamization of 30 kilometers of NH-44, from Nihama to Qazigund is in process, the quality of the material used for black topping work was also checked.The DDC said that work on various developmental projects in the district is going on in full swing and work on several projects is near to completion while some projects will be commissioned within days.He was accompanied by Additional Deputy commissioner, Shabir Hussain Bhat, Executive Engineer R&B, and other concerned officers.
