Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone today visited District Jail, Kupwara and took stock of the facilities being provided to inmates there.He was informed that 144 youths of various districts of Kashmir valley are presently lodged in the jail.Addressing the inmates at a function held in the Jail premises, the ADC said that the district administration wants to make it sure that all inmates in the jail learn different skills of their own choice for reformation and that when they come out they can live at their own legs and can serve their families in a better way.He said the separate courses of 4 months and 6 months have been formulated by Director Jan Shiksha Sansthan(JSS), MSDE, GOI to serve the purpose.The Director Jan Shiksha Sansthan (JSS), MSDE, GOI gave details of the training courses and informed that in the first phase cutting- tailoring, embroidery and computer courses have been approved by the government of India.He said, the inmates will be given certificates at the end of the courses with loan facilities without any requirement of guarantees.Superintendent of District Jail, Director Jan Shiksha Sanasthan (JSS), MSDE, GOI, District Information Officer Kupwara and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
