Over two lakh people belonging to Himachal Pradesh have been brought back from different parts of the country by special trains and buses and not even a single person was  made to suffer in other States in this hour of crisis. This was stated by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing the virtual rally of BJP Seraj Mandal of Mandi district  through Video Conferencing from Shimla today.Jai Ram Thakur said that he was delighted to interact with the people of his vidhan sabha area digitally, although it was not  possible to interact with them personally due to COVID-19. He said that the people of Seraj have contributed about Rs. 25 lakh towards HP SDMA COVID-19 State Disaster  Response Fund’. He thanked the people of the Seraj for doing commendable work during this corona epidemic. He said that he had himself interacted with all the elected  representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Local Bodies to take stock of the progress of the developmental works. The Chief Minister said that the people of the  country were rock solid behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi as they have full faith in his policies and programmes. 

It was due to the timely decisions taken by the Prime Minister that death rate in India due to Corona was very less as compared to most of the developed nations of the world. As  many as 4.30 lakh people have lost their lives due to COVID-19 in fifteen most developed countries with a total population of 142 crore whereas in India with a population of 135  crore have reported 9500 deaths due to corona till date.He assured the people of the area that paucity of funds would not come in way of development of the area. He said that  adequate funds would be released so that the projects were completed in stipulated time period. Member of Parliament Mandi Parliamentary constituency Ramswaroop Sharma  said that the country was safe in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has witnessed several historic decisions to make India a super power of the world. He  congratulated the Chief Minister for being adjudged as the most popular Chief Minister of the country.Mandi district BJP President Ranvir Singh and Seraj Mandal BJP President  Bhagirath Sharma also shared their views.
