Outgoing Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma today said that he would ever remain indebted to the residents of Jalandhar district for showering heaps of love on him during his more than three years stint in the district.The Deputy Commissioner, who was accorded a farewell by the staff of District Administrative complex in an emotively charged atmosphere, said that people of district have given lots of love to him during his stint as Deputy Commissioner, which would ever remain inscribed on his mindset. He said that there was no way through which he could repay this love and affection except by performing every duty bestowed by the state government zealously. Mr. Sharma said that he tried his level best to serve the people of Jalandhar by bets possible means.The Deputy Commissioner further said that the service at Jalandhar would ever remain close to his heart and he would never forget the warmth showered by Jalandharites on him. He said that this was a momentous posting for him adding that he would be carrying life long memories of this posting with him. Mr. Sharma also thanked the officers and officials for their fulsome support and cooperation during the stint.Meanwhile, in their address the Additional Deputy Commissioners Mr. Vishesh Sarangal and Mr. Jasbir Singh, Sub Divisional Magistrate Mr. Sanjiv Sharma, Revenue Officer Mr. Manohar Lal and President DC office Employees Union Mr. Tejinder Singh lauded the role played by Deputy Commissioner for development of the city particularly by operationalising Adampur Airport, completing work on National Highway and Jalandhar-Kapurthala road along with others. They also lauded the Deputy Commissioner for humanitarian approach towards people and staff. The officers also recalled the strenuous efforts made by Deputy Commissioner for rehabilitation of Flood affected villages and now for saving people from scourge of Covid 19 pandemic.
