Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing the virtual rally of Dharampur BJP Mandal through video conferencing from Shimla said that the state government has launched various schemes to revive the economy of the state which has been badly affected due to Covid-19 pandemic.The Chief Minister said that 5.90 lakh eligible women of the State have been benefitted under Jan Dhan Yojna while under the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana Rs 2000 each were transferred in the accounts of farmers. He said that Himachal Pradesh has become the first State in the country to launch ‘one nation one ration card’ to provide ration at subsidised rates from fair price shops anywhere in the country. Rs. 20 lakh crore economic package announced by the union government would help the country to revive the economy and provide much need relief to the people of the country.The Chief Minister said that each and every party worker has done a commendable work in fighting Covid in the state. The people not only generously donated towards the HP Covid fund and PM CAREs, but also provided food, ration and face masks to the needy and the poor. He said that BJP party workers also played a major role in sensitizing the people regarding importance of social distancing to check spread of this virus. He said that the workers of Dharampur area have also done a wonderful work in this direction.Jai Ram Thakur said that the state government has effectively fought the Covid pandemic and even Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appreciated the active case finding campaign launched by the state government. He said that the Prime Minister has asked the other states to follow the footsteps of Himachal Pradesh in fighting the pandemic, which was a honour to the State.
The Chief Minister said that death rate of India due to Covid was much less than most of the developed countries of the world. He said that credit for this goes to timely and appropriate decisions taken by the Prime Minister. He said that people of the country seriously followed the guidelines and advisories issued by the Prime Minister,He said that although the state has witnessed a sharp spike in the number of Covid cases, the people need not to worry as the people found positive were under institutional quarantine or home quarantine. He said that at the same time the people need to take precautions so that we could come out from crisis.Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister, the union government has taken various historic decisions such as abrogation of 370, Tripal Talaq, paving way for construction of Lord Ram temple, bringing in Citizen Amendment Act etc. He said that crores of rupees have been transferred to the accounts of poor and needs of the country.Jal Shakti Minister Mahender Singh Thakur while addressing the virtual rally said that the State of Himachal Pradesh under the leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has ensured equitable and balanced development of the State. The government was adopting policy of zero tolerance against corruption. He said that Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has been adjudged as the best Chief Minister of the country.Mandal BJP President Puran Chand Sharma, media in charge Rajat Thakur also shared their views on the occasion.
