The work regarding the distribution of ration to the smart card holders in the district is going on with missionary zeal and the District Administration aims to achieve the 100 percent target in this regard. This was reiterated here today by the Deputy Commissioner Mr. Girish Dayalan.He said that in undertaking such a huge exercise aimed at the benefit of the people, the main focus of the District Administration is keeping a hawk's eye and ensuring that the entire process is carried out with complete transparency with no room for loopholes.It is important to mention here that under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojna’ to all the beneficiaries registered under the National Food Security Act, 2013, 5 Kg of wheat per member per month for 3 months and 1 Kg of Dal per family per month (3 months lumsum) free of cost.Today the villages namely Ambchhappa, Jandli, Dappar, Basauli, Lalru (Urban), Dyalpura, Jawaharpur in Derabassi Block, Desumajra, Mundi Kharar, Rasanheri, Gabbe Majra, Magghar, Naggal Faizgarh, Bhupnagar, Tajpura, Kurali (Urban) in Kharar Block and Balongi, Jhajjon, Khaspur, Basi Shekhan, Dharamgarh, Papri, Chachchomajra, Manauli, Swara, Bhago Majra, Mauli Baidwan and Gudana, saw the distribution work being undertaken and 3000 smart ration card holders being given the ration taking the tally to 63000.
