DDC Kathua distributes 20 Motorized Tricycle among specially-abled beneficiaries

District Development Commissioner, O.P Bhagat today handed over 20 Motorized Tricycle among specially-abled beneficiaries under Prosthetic Aid Scheme of Social Welfare Department in the premises of Bal Ashram, Kathua.The DDC appreciated the role of Social Welfare Department for their enormous efforts in providing succor to the needy ones particularly physically handicapped specially during this tough time of Covid-19 pandemic.The DDC called upon the specially-abled beneficiaries to avail capacity building and skill development programmes offered by different government departments such as DRDA, JKEDI, Social Welfare, RSETI  and other agencies to enhance their skill and become self reliant.The Motorized Tri-cycles are being provided by State Rehabilitation Council J&K, an Institution of Social Welfare Department on first come first serve basis, DSWO Kathua Abdul Rahim informed.TSWO Vishav Sharma, officials from Social Welfare Department besides beneficiaries were also present on the occasion.
