The Food and Civil Supplies Department is undertaking with a holistic commitment to provide the benefits entailed under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojna’ to the beneficiaries registered under the National Food Security Act, 2013.Disclosing this here today, the DC Girish Dayalan said that as per the scheme, the registered beneficiaries are being provided with 5 Kg of wheat per member per month for 3 months and 1 Kg of Dal per family per month (3 months lumsum) absolutely free of cost. The scheme has seen 52000 families till date deriving the benefits. The departmental teams are ensuring the compliance with the social distancing norms while undertaking the distribution.Today, the distribution work was undertaken in Villages Gulabgarh, Issapur, Mubarakpur, Mirpur, Dandrala, Ballopur, Seoli, Bhagwasi, Dappar, Tasambli, Lalru Urban, Bhabat (All in Derabassi Block), Zirakpur, Bandala Road Kharar, Mundi Khara, Kalra Road Kharar, Khizrabad, Kurali Urban in Block Kurali, Manauli Surat, Nadiali, Balongi, Machhli Kalan, Raipur Kalan, Bairampur, Chudiala and Lakhnaur in Mohali Block and approximately 5000 smart ration card holders would be given the ration.
