As many as 2582 migrant workers left for their home State Uttar Pradesh though for different stations, today from the Mohali Railway Station where they were given a warm send off by the District Administration represented by Under Training IAS Officer Manisha Rana. The train in the morning left for Hardoi at 11 among among carrying 1341 migrant workers while the evening train which departed at 5 pm carried 1241 migrants to Gorakhpur. The migrant population going back to their native places especially the children expressed deepest gratitude to the District Administration for providing them food, water, biscuits and making elaborate preparations for their journey back home.On the other side, 23 students were sent today from Kharar by bus to their home in Jammu.
