Coming forward for extending a helping hand to the Covid 19 warriors, the Youth Congress today gave 100 Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) kits to the Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Mr. Gupreet Singh Bhullar.On the directions of the Chairman of Jalandhar Improvement Trust Mr. Daljeet Singh Ahluwalia, the senior Youth Congress leader and former President of District Young Congress Mr. Kaku Ahluwalia, accompanied by social activist Mr. Harpal Chadha, handed over the kits to the Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police at the District Administrative Complex .Welcoming the initiative, the Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said that these kits were of immense help for the frontline staff and officers deployed on duty in the field especially to those warriors who were deployed in the containment zones. They said that these kits could be helpful in ensuring that the cops and civil staff discharge their duty well at the vulnerable places especially in the current time of crisis. Mr. Sharma and Mr. Bhullar said that the district Civil and Police administration was fully geared up to combat this problem effectively adding that no stone was being left unturned for this noble cause.Meanwhile showering heaps of praise for the Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police, the Youth congress leader said that both the officers were rendering exemplary service to steer the district out of the crisis. He praised both the officers for making an immense contribution in saving the precious lives of people by maintaining law and order on one hand and by awakening the people against Corona virus on the other. Mr. Ahluwalia said that these real heroes were on the frontline of performing their duty due to which on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh the youth Congress would extend all sort of helping hand to the administration adding that more such kits would be disbursed in coming times.On the occasion social activist Mr. Harpal Chadha, Mr. Surjit Lal and others were also present.
