Ludhiana (Central) MLA Surinder Dawar and Ludhiana (East) MLA Sanjay Talwar today informed that the Punjab government is expected to give relaxation by allowing the  operations of industry located in mixed land use areas shortly. They said that they held a meeting with Vini Mahajan, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Punjab, at Police Lines, here  today.This meeting was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal, Commissioner of Police Mr Rakesh Kumar Agrawal, besides others.MLA Mr Surinder  Dawar informed that he, along with MLA Mr Sanjay Talwar, have been raising the issue of allowing industry situated in mixed land use areas with the Chief Minister at several  times. He informed that during the meeting with Mrs Vini Mahajan, she assured that the Punjab government is seriously considering of allowing the operations of industry in mixed  land use areas shortly. He informed that formal orders in this regard would be issued by the Punjab government soon. He said that he has raised this issue with the Punjab  government as well as Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on several occasions and expect that the industrialists whose industries are located in mixed land use areas would be  benefitted shortly.MLA Mr Sanjay Talwar said that discussions were also held on issues related to the exhibition centre, East End club, projects on National Highway, Halwara  Airport, besides several others. He informed that Mrs Vini Mahajan has assured that relaxations would be provided to industry in mixed land use areas soon.Earlier, Mrs Vini  Mahajan also held a review meeting related to Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19) with officials and other stakeholders at Bachat Bhawan, here today.
