The 26th patient from Jalandhar today won war against Covid 19 after she recovered from the pandemic on Wednesday and was discharged from the local Civil Hospital. The patient Mrs. Sunita wife of Mr. Pawan Kumar resident of New Raseela Nagar in Basti Danishmanda was admitted in the Civil Hospital on April 23. Subsequently, she was imparted quality treatment at the local Civil Hospital by team of Doctors led by the Senior Medical Officer Dr. Kashmiri Lal. After the treatment her samples were tested on May 7 which were found negative and then again on May 10th her sample was sent for confirmatory test, which was again tested negative.Expressing complete satisfaction over the treatment given to her in the Civil hospital, Mrs. Sunita said that the entire team of Doctors especially Dr. Kashmiri Lal treated her well. She also lauded the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and district administration for making special efforts for treatment of Covid 19 affected patients. She urged the people that there was no need to worry of the virus but precautions must be taken to ensure that war against it was won.Meanwhile, complementing the team of Doctors who have ensured the treatment to these patients, Civil Surgeon Jalandhar Dr Gurinder Kaur Chawla and Medical Superintendent Civil hospital Jalandhar Dr. Harjinder Singh said that under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, the Health department was fully committed to win the war against Corona Virus. They said that it was a moment of pride and satisfaction for them that this patient has recovered. They said that a total of 26 patients have recovered so far in district adding that all the remaining patients were also on fast pace of recovery.
