Lok Sabha MP Chaudhary Santokh Singh and MLAs Pargat Singh, Sushil Kumar Rinku, Rajinder Beri, Chaudhary Surinder Singh, Avtar Singh Bawa Henry and Hardev Singh  Laddi today batted for more relaxations to other categories of business for economic resurgence of district.During deliberations with the Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder  Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police  Gurpreet Singh Bhullar regarding policy formation on relaxations, the Lok Sabha MP and MLAs batted for more relaxations to  business class for putting the economy back on track. They said that the wholesale operations of every business must be started as early as possible. They said that relaxations  should be given to every section of business so that economic operations could be restarted. The Lok Sabha MP and MLAs said that rather than giving the relaxations in one go  step by step relaxation could be a very good option. They said that the relaxations could be given in a phased manner amidst the lockdown. They also batted for odd/even  formula for lifting the restrictions in the district, the modalities of which could be fixed by the administration adding that owing to Covid 19 people were already sensitive of their  duties but need to be given relaxation for sustaining livelihood.Meanwhile taking part in deliberations, the Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said that all the  points flagged by the MP and MLAs would be duly kept in mind before taking any decision. They said that the final call on the issue would be taken by the Punjab Chief Minister  Captain Amarinder Singh, who has imposed the curfew/ lockdown due to Corona Virus in the state. Both the officers said that the administration was duty-bound to implement the  orders of the state government in true letter and spirit.
