District administration Doda gears up sample collection facilities

In order to ensure mass sample collection across the district, District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode today inaugurated Kiosk sample collection booth set-up at Thathri.The DDC informed that the sample collection centre has been established to facilitate Nasal sample collection of Covid-19 suspects as per set SOP. He also informed that the centre will not only facilitate the Doda district but will also collect the samples of all the stranded residents of Kishtwar district who will cross the jurisdiction of Thathri.Further elaborating , the DDC said as the movement of the stranded residents in both the districts has started, it is now mandatory to collect the samples of every person for further testing.In this regard 4190 samples were collected so far by the health officials at various locations like Assar, Bhaderwah, Doda, Gandoh and Thathri out of which 2480 are tested negative and the results of 1710 are still awaited.Others who were present on the occasion were SP Operations Doda, SDM Thathri, Tehsildar, BDO Thathri, BMO Thathri, District Epidemiologist Doda, besides officials of health and civil administration.
