Anantnag is the only district across Jammu and Kashmir where active positive cases of Coronavirus have crossed 100 mark. The district has left behind Bandipora which was on top of the table as for as Covid-19 cases were concerned.There are 120 active positive cases of Coronavirus in Anantnag district. The district has least recovery rate and it has also witnessed the death of a woman due to this lethal infection.The data available with KNT reveals that out of total 122 positive cases surfaced in this district, only one has recovered while one has died. The district has still 120 confirmed cases and according to officials there may a surge in the number in coming days. District administration Anantnag has already declared a number of areas as red zones after the cases of Coronavirus started surfacing from these areas. The red-zones declared as hot-spots include villages like Pushroo, Kharpora while Shangus, Andoora, Ogjibian, Jogigund, Pati Pahlo fall in the buffer zone category but still have been sealed as they lie adjacent to red zones.Bandipora is the second district on top of the table. It has 58 active positive cases with high recovery rate. Out of 134 cases of Coronaviurs that emerged from the district Banipora, 75 have recovered while one has died.In Bandipora, Parray Mohalla, Chandergeer, Batagund, SK Bala, Hakbara, Naidkhi, Gund Jehanger and Madwan. Kunan, Gondi Kesar, Nowgam,Gundi Daichina are declared as red zones.Like Bandipora, Baramulla has also 58 active positive cases, but unlike Bandipora, the district Baramulla has lowest recovery rate. Out of total 106 cases of Covid-19 cases, 45 patients have recovered while 3 have died of this lethal infection.Sulinda, Chektan, Chanpora, Chandiloora, Hariwatnoo, Kampora, Gutlipora, Katipora, Qaziora Kilwara, Kralpora, Khajipora, Swan, Ogmuna villages in Tangmarg, while Sultan Daki and Amlok Colony in Uri have been declared as red zones in Baramulla.South Kashmir’s Shopian district saw a spike in the cases in recent past.
The district has 53 active positive cases. Out of total 100 cases, 47 have recovered so for. Sedow, Ramnagri, Sindho Shirmal, Bemnipora, Memendar, Palpora, Heerpora, Kanipora villages fall in the red zone list of district Shopian.Srinagar is fifth on the list. It has 52 active positive cases with high recovery rate like Bandipora. Out of 131 cases of Coronaviurs that emerged from the city, 76 have recovered while three patients including a young man have died.Ahmed Nagar, Lal Bazar, Hawal and Nowshera, Nishat, Khayam, Iddgah and Goripora, Chattabal, Hyderpora, Bemina, Jawahar Nagar, Natipora, Lasjan and Tengpora have already been declared red zones in Sinagar city The active positive cases of Coronavirus in Kupwara is 38, followed by Budgam 33, kulgam 16, Pulwama 9, Ganderbal 9, Jammu 5, samba 3, Udhampur 2 and one each active case in Kathua, Reasi and Ramban.The red zones in Budgam are Batpora - Wathura (Chadoora), Kanidajan, Trajbal, Pakharpora and Chak Mohand Pora (Charar-e-Sharief), Soibugh and Paller (Block Budgam). Waskoora and Guzhama (Wakoora) areas are red zones of Ganderbal district while in Kulgam, the red zones are Reshipora, Sopat, Batpora, and Check Wangund (Administratively in Anantnag, but Health block under Kulgam). ITI Handwara, Baghbella, Manigah, Andherhama, Gomal, Trehgam and Dildar have been declared red zones on Kupwara and in Pulwam Gudoora, Chandgam, Pinglena, Parigam, Abhama, Sangerwani and Khaigam fall in the category of red zone.The red zones in Jammu are Janiur, Peer Mitha (Gujjar Nagar), Bhatindi and Sunjwan, and Bahu Fort area (Kalka Colony) and in Rajouri, these zones are Sarola, Dehridhara, Mangal Nar, Gambir Muglan, Kotli.In Samba, Chak Ram Chand in Block Nud have been declared as red zone while in Udhampur, which witnessed a death of an elderly woman due to this lethal infection, village Narsoo and Chunti (Block Chenani), Village Kotli Pain, Mangiote, Rakh Sansoo, Padanoo, Chopra Shop, Mageni area of Village of Rehambal and Mohra Duggar of Village Jib (Block Tikri), village Thaplal, Kannals, Marta (Mora Bassi), Dalsar, Kheen, Kirmoo and Ramnagar Town including Suka Talab area (Block Ramnagar) and village Tikri, Lehnu, Jarmara, Mand East and Mand West (Block Tikri) have been declared as red zones.
