Giving thumbs up to all the Covid 19 warriors performing frontline duty, the Vajra Corps on behalf of Indian Army today felicitated these son of the soils in a unique manner.
The Vajra Corps felicitation campaign team led by Station Commander Jalandhar Brigadier HS Sohi, visited the local Civil Hospital and honored the Doctors, para medical staff, Police officials and the Sanitary workers who have been performing their duty to keep a check on the spread of Corona Virus in the district. Army Pipe band in their traditional attire played patriotic tunes to express gratitude for putting their lives at risk.Interacting with the officials, Brigadier HS Sohi lauded the role being played by the civil and Police administration led by Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar in effectively combating the Covid 19. He said that while the Indian government was taking several steps for prevention, containment and management of COVID-19, many Corona Warriors have been risking their lives every day to provide healthcare services and basic amenities to everyone adding that Defence forces, Police & Municipality Workers were on a high alert.Brigadier Sohi said that this selfless service and the enthusiasm displayed by healthcare workers and law enforcement agencies surely deserves approbation from the country. The team of Army also felicitated the Covid warriors by distributing sweets to them during the event.On the occasion Senior Medical Officers Dr Kashmiri Lal and Dr. Charanjiv, Additional Civil Surgeon Dr. Gurmeet Kaur Duggal, Assistant Commissioner of Police Mr. Harsimrat Singh and others were also present. All the officers appreciated the gesture of Armed Forces to express solidarity with corona warriors.
