Shri Anandpur Sahib MP Manish Tewari today expressed satisfaction over the ongoing procurement of wheat in the state. He said, he had been monitoring the procurement process in Punjab and other states also, and had found Punjab doing the best against all odds and despite strict lockdown in force due to the COVID-19 pandemic.While pointing out that the curfew had been imposed for protecting the lives of people, Tewari said, all relief measures were being taken by the Punjab government under the leadership of the Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh.Regarding the problem faced by the farmers in lifting and packing of wheat in the mandis, Tewari said that he would issue instructions to the concerned officers immediately. Similarly the inconvenience caused to the people during the distribution of rations will also be rectified soon.
