Fifteen persons from Bandipora district who had tested positive for COVID-19 were discharged from different hospitals in Srinagar so far.Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora,  Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza said the persons were discharged from Srinagar hospitals after recovering from the infection following treatment.He said the district recorded 91 positive  cases so far out of which 15 recovered while one death was also reported on April 07. He added that presently there are 75 active cases in the district.The DC further said that  the discharged persons have been put under home quarantine as a precautionary measures and their medical check -up  will be regularly conducted. He said that  samples of  870 persons were taken for testing purpose out of which 683 were reported negative while 91 were reported positive. Result of 96 tests is awaited.He added that 27114 persons  have been screened in 12 Red zones out of the total population of 48969 in these villages and 543 persons have been put under administrative quarantine while 3776 persons  are under home quarantine and are being regularly monitored.He said there are 31 dedicated screening teams of Health experts in 12 Red zones of Hajin, Naidkhai, Gund  Jahangeer, SK Bala, Batagund, Chandeergeer, Madwan, Hakbara, Kunan, Gund Qaiser, Gund Dachina, Nowgam and Bonakoot, who are continuously conducting screening and  have screened 27114 persons  so far.Mirza said that  after receiving Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) Kits, the medical staff has also started conducting Rapid Antigen tests at the  doorsteps of the people in Red zones and people under home quarantine elsewhere.He said 41 RAT tests were conducted in the district today(Monday) including 25 in Gund  Jahangeer and Hajin while 16 were conducted in Bandipora town.First test of the COVID suspects that is Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) will also be conducted in the hospital within  few days as these s have been received and will be made available at the hospital soon. He said the technical staff has been trained  to take the samples and perform tests for  COVID19.
