Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo accompanied by concerned officers today visited upper reaches of Kandi Baramulla to take appraisal of the damage caused by landslides.DC visited Chandoosa, Katyawali, Pachhaar and other adjoining villages where he took a detailed review of the condition of roads that have been demaged due to landslides and directed the concerned officer to assess the damage caused to these road. He directed the concerned to start the repairing work adding that every effort should be made to restore the connectivity between regions. He directed for putting in place a viable mechanism especially for landslide prone areas so that loss to the developmental projects is minimized during during such natural disaster.Later, the DC inspected Primary Health Center (PHC) Chandoosa and took stock of health care facilities available at the health institute..Dr Itoo inspected several sections of the PHC during which he was appraised by the concerned authorities about various facilities available there. DC directed for providing hassle free and smooth health-care to the people at this critical juncture. He further added that district administration is committed to develop infrastructure in all health institutions for delivering quality health -care services..
