District Magistrate, Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin , today visited Sub District Hospital Keller and adjoining areas to meet the requirement and need of the people amid the COVID-19 lockdown. He took stock of the arrangements put in place in connection with the availability of health care and other facilities.Block Medical Officer Keller, Tehsildar Keller and other concerned officers accompanied the DM.During the visit, the DM directed the concerned to ensure all arrangements including healthcare, proper hygiene and cleanliness in the hospital besides, safety of the front line health workers. He said that district administration is presently focusing on providing adequate facilities to meet any crisis. He asked the officials to set up a dedicated help desk for the patients visiting hospital.He also directed the hospital staff to ensure that the entire hospital area is cleaned daily. The staff was also asked to provide ample amount of hand sanitizers and soaps to the people visiting the hospital.DM directed Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Shopian, to fix the directions and signage boards at each point to facilitate the patients and their attendants.Urging people not to panic the DM asked them to follow all advisories issued from time to time by the government and the health department for containment of the Covid-19 pandemic.District Magistrate also requested the people present in the hospital not to visit hospitals unnecessary or for minor ailments and keep social distance in each and every place.Later DM distributed ration packetss and masks among the needy people of the Keller, Mastpora and Gatipora.
