Three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers were killed and as many suffered injuries in a militant attack in the Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday.Police sources told KNT that the suspected militants opened fire at a joint party of CRPF and police at the Noorbagh near Ahad Bab’s crossing.The injured were rushed to the nearby SDH Hospital where doctors declared two CRPF personnel brought dead while one more CRPF man died moments later.Police said that 3 CRPF jawans were killed and another trooper was injured in the militant attack.In the incident, three paramilitary troopers’ sustained injuries, who succumbed to their injuries,” said a police official identifying them as Head Constable Rajeev Sharma, Constable CB Bakhray and Constable Satpal Singh.He said that militants attacked a CRPF vehicle on duty at Sopore town. Soon after the incident, government forces launched a search operation in the area to nab the attackers. (KNT)
