District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Dr Piyush Singla today visited District Hospital to take stock of preparedness to combat the spread of pandemic Corona Virus COVID-19 in the district.During his visit, the DDC took a detailed review of all the preparedness and available infrastructure in the hospital for dealing with Corona virus patients. He directed the Medical Superintendent to furnish the requirement of all urgently required equipments so that the funds can be released at an earliest.The DDC asked Medical Superintendent to submit requirement for making 16 to 20 bed ICU/CCU units functional in the hospital to face any eventuality which may arise due to Covid-19.SE Mechanical was asked to expedite the procurement of required material and equipments for establishment of Critical Care Unit (CCU) immediately so that CCU can be established in the hospital.The DDC interacted with Doctors and enquired about the functioning of the Hospital. The DDC asked the doctors and para medical staff to follow the SOPs while attending the patients.CPO Rajeev Bhushan, CMO Udhampur Dr K C Dogra and other officers were also accompanied the DDC.
