Wheat procurement for this season started with the farmers at Nihal Singh Wala grain market o district Moga being welcomed with roses. The mandi employees at Nihal Singh Wala accorded a warm welcome to the farmers asking them to keep wearing masks, using sanitizers and washing their hands frequently.Deputy Commissioner Moga Mr Sandeep Hans called upon the people of Moga to stay indoors and keep their families and themselves safe. He said that for this procurement season, the commission agents, farmers and labours can enter into the mandis only if they have hologram marked curfew passes No entry is allowed inside the premises of mandi without curfew passes.  He appealed farmers to follow the curfew pass system, which is in larger interest of farmers and their families.At Fatehgarh Panjtoor the grain market, market committee officer and primary health center sanitized.  Also at Nihal Singh Wala ration kits were distributed to the outsourced safai sewaks by a local social club.Meanwhile, the health department today set up 30 bedded isolation center at the Community Health Center in Daroli Bhai. Complete arrangements have been made to provide all facilities to the patients who would need to be admitted at this center and a flu corner have also been set up. Besides this, health department is already running isolation center at Civil Hospital Moga and quarantine center at the Community Health Center Janer.Also the police are acting tough against the curfew violators. Moga police have arrested 238 people in 87 cases of curfew violation so far. All the violators are being lodged at open jail in Godhewala Stadium. Police have been warning people time and again to follow the curfew rules and not come out of their houses.In cases of emergency people can dial number 112 for police help.
