As a significant move to scale up the activities in order to control the spread of deadly Coronavirus, District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode today inaugurated 3rd Decontamination cum Sanitization tunnel in the OPD of Government Medical College/ Hospital, Doda.Besides, the DDC also inaugurated and inspected the sample collection centre at OPD GMC Doda.DDC expressed gratitude to the PHE and PWD officials for establishing such important projects in the time bound manner. He said that the administration is taking various initiatives to contain the spread of Coronavirus.The DDC said that this is the 3rd decontamination cum sanitization tunnel which has been established by the district administration in the last week and various locations are already identified where the similar kind of facilities will be installed for the safety of the general public on priority basis.While commenting upon the establishment of sample collection booth, DDC said that this unique sample collection booth will not only reduce man power needed for collecting sample for Coronavirus tests but will ensure the safety of health workers while collecting sample from a suspected patient.The sample collection booth in the district has been established to facilitate throat swab sample collection of Covid-19 suspects.Officers who were present during the program are Executive Engineer PHE, CMO Doda, MS DH Doda, Technical Officer PHE, besides other officials of the district administration.
