District Magistrate, Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer, today chaired a meeting of second line Health, Surveillance and Screening teams, who are constituted to strengthen the surveillance and reporting of cases with travel history and quarantined people, here today.ADC's Pulwama, Tral and Awantipora, CMO, Medical Superintendent, Tehsildars, BMO's, members of Surveillance teams attended the meeting.During the meeting various issues related to boarding and reinforcing the purpose of surveillance and necessary steps to ensure robust data collection in the district were discussed.On the occasion, DM stressed upon the members of surveillance teams, to help the first line Health, Surveillance and Screening teams for efficient surveillance in their respective areas.He asked them to keep close vigil on the suspected persons coming from different parts of the country and home quarantine them, if required.He directed these teams to involve local influential persons and religious leaders to ensure proper sanitation, awareness about personal hygiene and social distancing to avoid the Covid- 19 infection.
