Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur had all praise for doctors, para- medical staff and sanitary workers and thanked them for providing efficient services to the corona Virus patients undergoing treatment.He was interacting with the doctors, para-medical staff and sanitary workers of Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda in Kangra district and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College, Ner Chowk, district Mandi through video conferencing from Shimla today. These three medical colleges had treated the initially cases of COVID-19. These doctors and para-medical staff and sanitary workers are now under quarantine.The Chief Minister said that the services rendered by all these doctors and para medical staff were commendable and people of the State were grateful to them for their selfless services. "I would like to personally interact with all these corona warriors whenever the situation normalizes," said the Chief Minister.While interacting with Dr. Lokesh, Dr. Nishant, Dr. Satish and Manoj, Sister Sheela and Sister Priyanka of IGMC, Chief Minister said that it was their selfless and fearless services for treating the COVID-19 patients.He also interacted with Dr. Yamini, Dr. Himanshu, Dr. Rajat, Dr. Nitish and Manu Sharma and appreciated their efforts in curing the COVID patients.
He said that he has also telephonically talked with both the first COVID-19 positive patients admitted in Tanda after they were cured and discharged. He said that both the patients appreciated the services rendered by the staff of Tanda Medical College in treating them.Jai Ram Thakur talked to Dr. Rajneesh Pathania, Principal of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College, Ner Chowk Mandi besides Dr. Rekha Bansal and Dr. Rajesh Kumar. Chief Minister, while appreciating their efforts in treatment of the COVID-19 patients, listened to their first hand experience to cure the patients. The Chief Minister said that services rendered by all the corona warriors were indeed inspiration and motivation to the medical fraternity which is held in the highest esteem by the people.Later, the Chief Minister interacted through Skype with ASI Chintamani posted at Kuddu barrier and ASI Lokender posted at Nerwa in Shimla district. He also interacted with Head Constable Ashu Agarwal posted in Sirmaur district and SHO Parwanoo Inspector Ravinder Kumar rendering his services at Parwanoo barrier. Jai Ram Thakur appreciated the services being provided by them for keeping vigil during the curfew imposed to corona pandemic. He also urged them to ensure their proper safety.
