"The District Administration is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring extensive contact tracing and sampling which is leading to more cases being tracked. This would help in having a clear assessment of the situation and the formulation of comprehensive strategy to combat the corona virus disease." Divulging this here today, the Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan said that today 3 more cases have come to light. The three positive cases include 2 women aged 80 and 55 years and a 17 year old girl respectively, from village Jawaharpur and are immediate family of already positive cases. They have been isolated already.It is also worth mentioning that on Saturday, the husband of the 78 year old woman from Kharar also tested positive late last evening. However, the samples of their 6 family members tested negative.They all were home quarantined. Apart from this, It is noteworthy that on Saturday itself, two more corona virus positive cases emerged from village Jawaharpur. The persons found positive include 2 males, who were neighbours of earlier positive persons, aged 38 and 58 respectively.As of now, the total number of positive cases in the district has reached 54. Out of these, 37 cases are from village Jawaharpur. The casualty figure is 2 while 5 persons have been cured and gone home. The active cases number as of now is 47.The containment protocol is being strictly followed in the village Jawaharpur and the adjoining villages such as Devigarh and Mehmudpur. The Sanitization is also being done at regular intervals.
