In order to help the needy persons during the lockdown in Chandigarh, former Senior DeputyMayor and Councilor Hardeep Singh Butarella today distributed dry rations to the needy persons at village Butarela. The president of the Shiromani Akali Dal(Chandigarh Unit) Hardeep Singh Butarella has also served Langar (Community Food) to the poor persons in his ward. Akali leader Hardeep Singh Butarella said that he  would continue to help the needy in the future as well. He further informed that lockdown has been imposed by the Chandigarh Administration in the interest of the common people in order to contain the spread the COVID-19 disease thereby people should keep maintain distance and stay indoors. He also appealed to other NGO’s to continue to serve the needy in their respective areas through dry rations and Langar(Community Food).
