In a unique initiative aimed at ensuring sound health of the frontline staff on duty, the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has started the health check of all the employees posted on duty in the city.The campaign was formally launched by the Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Mr Gurpreet Singh Bhullar. During the campaign a doctor from the Health department and his team have been specially deputed to check the health of the Police staff on duty. The Doctor checked the temperature of the Police staff through the thermal thermometer and conducted the general check of the Police staff.Meanwhile, the Commissioner of a Police said that the move was aimed at ensuring sound health of the officials said who were rendering their duty excellently. He said that since the curfew has been imposed the Police staff was on duty regularly to maintain law and order on one hand and check the spread of CoVid 19 on the other hand. Mr Bhullar said that ensuring good health to these 1300 Police force was the need of hour.The Commissioner of Police said that as the force was continuously rendering its service so it was exposed to all sorts of risks due to which precaution was must. He said that the medical tests were being conducted to ensure safety and security of the Police in this hour of crisis .Meanwhile the security forces led by Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police today conducted flag march at Ladowali Road, Guru Nanak Pura, Railway Colony, Sant Nagar, Preet Nagar, SD College Road, Madan Flour Mill, Railway Station, Shastri Chowk, Luv Kush ( Chowk), Sri Ram (Nehru Garden) Road, Bhagwan Valmiki (Jyoti) Chowk, Basti Adda Chowk, Football Chowk, Dr BR Ambedkar (Nakodar) Chowk, Guru Nanak Mission Chowk, Model Town Market, Geeta Mandir, New Jawahar Nagar, BMC Chowk and others.
