Hizb Commander among Four militants were killed at Kulgam in a fierce Gunbattle between militants and Government forces breaks out on Satarday.Reports reached to 5 Dariya news that ,Four HM militants one among Top Commander were nuetrealised in khur- Batapora area of south Kashmir's Kulgam village.Gunfight breaks after forces received specific inputs about presence of militants in the area, as the search was launched by 34 RR, Crpf and J&K SOG wing jointly, militants hiding fired upon forces which was retaliated by forces triggering gunbattle following the killing of four local (HM)Hizbullah Mujahuideen militants.In this operation two Security personnel were also Injured who were evacuated to Srinagar based military hospital for treatment, an Official said.A Police officer told that the group was involved in recent killings of civilians in the area.
Police identified the killing militants as
(1) Aijaz Ahmed Naiko urf (Moosa )s/o M Iqbal Naiko r/o Chimmer DHpora Kulgam, was Active since 22/08/2018
Outfit HM.
(2) Shahid Ahmed Malik s/o M Sadiq r/o Khull DHpora Kulgam,was Active since 08/40/2019 Outfit HM
(3) Waqar Farooq s/o Farooq Ittoo r/o HCgam, Kulgam. Missing since 18/03/2020 Outfit HM.
(4) M Ashraf Malik @sadam r/o Arwani Anantnag. Outfit HM.
Arms and ammunitions were recovered from militants as.
a) AK47 rifle :- 01
b) Magazine AK47 :- 02
c) SLR :- 01
d) Ansas rifle :- 01
e) Pistol Chinese :-01
f) Magazine Ansas ;- 01
g) Magazine SLR :- 02.
In this regard FIR 32/2020 U/S 307IPC, 7/25 IAACT has been registered in P/S DHpora.
A Press Conference was held at victor force awantipora where GOC A.SEN GUPTA briefs this Operation.He said 04 militants killed in Kulgam Gunfight, search for 5th militant continues.SenGupta added that "forces have managed to kill four militants in an encounter at Kulgam area today, which is still underway and joint forces are searching for the 5th militant in the area, following the killing of four militants this morning.He told reporters militants killed in encounter were 'involved in the recent killings of civilians' in the area.Later Police issued a press release read as, During the intervening night of 03/04-04-2020, acting on a specific information regarding presence of 04 terrorists in village Hardmangori DH Pora who were involved in recent killing of civilians in Kulgam and Anantnag a joint search operation was launched by Police, Army and CRPF.During cordon and search operation, hiding terrorists fired indiscriminately upon search party which was retaliated leading to an encounter.In the ensuing encounter, 04 terrorists were killed. They have been identified as Shahid Sadiq Malik resident of Khull DH Pora Kulgam, Mohd Ashraf Malik @Sadam resident of Arwani district Anantnag, Waqar Farooq Itoo resident of Hanan Chawalgam DH Pora, and the identity of 4th killed terrorist is yet to be ascertained.Incriminating materials, arms and ammunitions including 01 AK-47, 01 SLR, 01 Insas Rifle and 01 Pistol were recovered from their possession.As per police records, the killed terrorists were affiliated with proscribed terror outfit HM and involved in several terror crime cases including civilian atrocities.Recently, while Police and Security Forces were busy in assisting the administration in combating Coronavirus, the killed terrorists started killing innocent civilians. On 01-04-2020 they killed two innocent civilians namely Hassan Rakha and Sheraj-Uddin Gossi residents of Nandimarg DH Pora Kulgam. On 02-04-2020 they also killed another civilian namely Mohd Showkat Dar resident of Fatehpora Anantnag.People are requested to cooperate with police till the area is completely sanitized and cleared of all the explosive materials if any.
