Mansa Police one step ahead-distributed books of next class to the students to utilize their idle time

A.K.Mittal, IPS, IGP Bathinda range by issuing a press note alongwith Dr. Narinder Bhargav SSP Mansa said that the provisions of curfew are being complied with strictly by encouraging the spirit of self implementation among the general public of district Mansa. Shri Mittal specially  issued a public awakening pamphlet here appealing the public to maintain discipline during this critical time and to remain inside their houses to control the COVID 19 pandemic. He told about the precautions and suggestions for protection of this disease to the public as well as to the Police force also. He further told that the Police administration is not only worrying to control the spreading of COVID 19 pandemic, it is also anxious about the future of students studying in the Board classes because students of this age group are more sensitive towards their surroundings and they can easily accept the negativity arising around them.  Keeping in view this sensitive issue, today, Shri A.K.Mittal IPS Inspector General of Police Bathinda range has started this new scheme by distributing books and other reading material to the students so that they can prepare themselves for the next upper class using their idle time and that too by remaining at their houses. Shri Mittal inaugurated on-line education in Police Public School, Mansa so that the students can avail full benefit of study material. He further added that this on-line study will available to the other school's students also which is really a very good effort of District Police Mansa. This on-line education facility will be made available to the other Government and private school students also shortly.A.K.Mittal, IPS, IGP Bathinda range said here that Mansa Police is doing very good job by imposing curfew in the district with the sense of self implementation.Further, it is also a very good step of the Mansa Police when it has started a very nice job by providing books and reading material to the students because Schools, play grounds and parks etc. are closed due to curfew.  Undoubtedly, the students will utilise their idle time by studying the books of next Class which is  proper utilisation of free time available to them during curfew period. This will also lesser the panic of Corona virus which is disturbing their innocent minds of students.  He appreciated the efforts of District Police Mansa for providing studying material and books to the students at their door steps. Today, books and studying material was distributed to the students of schools falling in Mansa circle. 

At the next step, the District Police has planned to distribute books to the students of Government schools with the co-ordination of DEOs/Government School managements and Village/Ward Committees. SSP Mansa said here that the scheme of imposing curfew with the help of Village Police Officers and Self Help Groups with the sense of self implementation is going on successfully. The conveyed his thanks to the VPOs, members of Self Help Groups and general public of Mansa district to assist the Police administration to carry on this sensitive task smoothly. He told that the sense of self implementation among the public has certainly relaxed the Police administration that is why the District Police Mansa is thinking ahead to provide better services to the public. It is also the result of public co-operation that the Police administration has started distribution of books and studying material of next classes to the students so that they can prepare themselves for the upper class without wasting any time during curfew.  SSP Mansa further told that Police administration is also serious about the welfare of Police forces and about the health of Police personnel also and today medical checkup of the Police forces and staff deployed in District Administrative Complex was also carried out to ensure their wellness. Certainly this will enhance confidence in the Police forces.Dr. Bhargav, SSP Mansa conveyed his thanks to Shri A.K.Mittal, IPS, IGP Bathinda range who has patronized the District Police Mansa to perform its duty more efficiently. He said that at present all the boundaries of district Mansa, inlets and outlets of wards and villages are successfully sealed with the help of Village Police Officers and Self Help Groups. He further added that  this scheme is very helpful not only in implementing the curfew voluntarily, but it is also helping the administration to take relief measures down to the level of houses, Mohallas and Wards. 

Dr. Bhargav told that  Mansa district has been divided into Sectors/Wards/Villages and each ward/village is covered by one V.P.O. deploying 337 V.P.Os in the whole district. Each V.P.O. is helping Self Help Groups by making a chain of communication till the point of house in every ward and village. He said that  these V.P.Os. are using social media as an immediate communication source by creating  village-wise and ward-wise Whatsapp groups. With the village / ward committee members, they are in regular touch every house, ward and village through these Whatsapp groups. The problems coming out during the day time through this kind of communication, are monitored in the evening at the level of a DSP and the district administration tries its level best to solve such problems by the next day. Similarly Police Control Room No.112 remains operative 24 hours and Patrolling parties with arrangement of dedicated Ambulance and Medical teams are kept ready to meet with any emergency. S.S.P. Mansa Dr. Bhargav further told that there is no problem in door to door supply of essential commodities or essential services. The campaign of sanitizing the public and open places is also going on.The SSP Mansa further said that day and night duties are being performed by the Mansa Police to fight against the pandemic COVID-19. He appealed the public for strict compliance of restrictions of Curfew and law & order. He added that 31 cases have been registered, 91 persons have been arrested and 14 vehicles have been taken in police possession U/S 269,188 IPC w.e.f. 23rd March, 2020 till date for violating the provisions of curfew. Similarly, today 34 vehicles have been impounded U/S 207 of Motor Vehicle Act, total number of which comes to 124 till 03.04.2020.
