Jalandhar Administration Provides Milk, Cheese, Curd, Lassi, Kheer , Vegetables And Fruits To People At Their Doorsteps

Ensuring the delivery of essential commodities to the people at their doorsteps, the Jalandhar district administration on Thursday provided 99045 litres of milk and 5543 quintals of vegetables and fruits to them. Under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma, various teams of the Milkfed, Mandi Board and Food and Civil Supply departments were working round the clock to ensure the supply of these essentials in every area of the district.The teams of Verka led by General Manager Mr Rupinder Singh Sekhon were ensuring the coverage of maximum households in the district with Milk supply.As per the details on Thursday, the teams of Verka ensured the delivery of around 99045 litres of milk to the people of the district besides, 695-kg Cheese, 7629-kg curd, 3984-litre lassi and 208-kg Kheer through the authorised dealers of Verka in every locality. Meanwhile, 5543 quintals of vegetables and fruits were also supplied in the city by staff led by District Mandi officer Mr Davinder Singh. The employees of the Mandi Board ensured that people do not face any sort of trouble during the days of curfew. The teams of Food and Civil Supply led by DFSC Mr Narinder Singh also were ensuring the supply of grocery and other products to the people through the teams.Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma said that that the district administration was making every effort to ensure that people do not face any sort of problem in the getting the essential commodities. He said that an effective mechanism was evolved to ensure that these services were readily provided.
