One more person from Pulwama today tested COVID-19 positive, taking number of positive cases to 02 in the district.The person, resident of Chandgam   has come into contact with the already confirmed positive person  of Khaigam  and was   put under quarantine at the District Hospital, Pulwama.Immediately after the second case was reported positive, the DM stressed the concerned to ensure strict   imposition of restrictions in the  areas which have been declared red zones and  buffer zones in the district.District Magistrate reiterated that particular areas have become more susceptible as far as further transmission of the COVID-19 virus is concerned and to stump further the transmission of the disease in the area it has become imperative to ensure strict adherence to the orders issued under section 144 of CrPC.He appealed people to cooperate with the administration and ensure strict adherence to the restrictions as violation would constitute criminal offence and attract strict action under Section 188 of IPC.He added that the concealment  of travel history or circumvention of screening would  coerce  the authorities to invoke relevant sections of IPC and stringent action will be initiated under  section 269 IPC( unlawfully or negligently doing something which is likely to spread infection of any dangerous disease to life) , section 270 IPC ( malignant act likely to spread infection of dangerous disease to life), section 271 IPC (knowingly disobeying any quarantine rule) and section 188 IPC ( for disobeying any Government order).
