Mechanism of e-passes helpful to ensure social distancing: Jai Ram Thakur

The mechanism of e-passes developed by the State Information Technology Department has not only facilitated the people but also ensured social distancing amongst the people in wake of COVID-19 pandemic. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said this while presiding over the meeting of Information Technology Department here today.Chief Minister said that all the office orders and notifications related to COVID-19 issued by various departments were being uploaded in the dedicated portal of the Department to avoid any inconvenience to the masses. He said that in addition to this, the department has also developed a dashboard for Chief Secretary and Deputy Commissioners of the State.Jai Ram Thakur said that the quarantine app developed by the Information Technology Department would go a long way in keeping the surveillance on people jumping quarantine period. He said that COVID-19 law and order system developed by the department would also ensure smooth reporting of any cases regarding violation of rules.Chief Secretary Anil Khachi, Principal Secretary IT J.C. Sharma, Director IT Rohan Chand Thakur and other officer also attended the meeting.
