With the aim to ensure that ration is distributed to all the stranded migrants and labourers besides shelter is provided to them, District Magistrate Rajinder Singh Tara today visited the shelter homes of migrants and labourers at helipad and Shakti Nagar Kishtwar.He was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police, Harmeet Singh Mehata, Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohd Hanief Malik, Additional SP, Ajaz Zargar, ALC, Anoop Kumar, Tehsildar Kishtwar Parmod Kumar among others.During the visit DM interacted with the labourers and workers there and inquired about their health and hygiene besides briefed them about various SOPs for prevention from COVID-19 pandemic. He also inquired about the distribution of ration to these vulnerable families and directed the DFO Kishtwar to arrange fire wood for them.He also took stock of facilities being provided by district administration like distribution of 30 kg pack of dry ration, fuel, medicines and clean water and directed the concerned authorities for providing all the essential items to all the vulnerable families.
